The 11th European Geography Olympiad (EGeo) will take place from June 29 to July 3, 2025, in our beautiful capital city, Vilnius, Lithuania.
This prestigious event will bring together the most talented young geographers from across Europe, offering a unique opportunity to compete, network, and expand your geographical knowledge.
The European Geography Olympiad will be held in two age categories:

Junior: students aged 12 to 15

Senior: students aged 16 to 19
The format of EGeo follows that of the International Geography Olympiad (iGeo), and includes a written test, fieldwork, and a multimedia test.
Olympiad Expenses
All participant expenses related to accommodation, meals, transportation to and from the airport, and other on-site costs during the Olympiad will be fully covered.
Travel costs to and from Lithuania, as well as expenses for additional nights (June 28–29 and July 3–4), will not be covered.
Important Hotel Information for EGEO Participants
All participants will be accommodated at the Vilnius Park Plaza Hotel for the full duration of the Olympiad, from June 29 to July 3.
Extended Stays
Teams arriving earlier (June 28) and/or departing later (July 4) who wish to book additional nights at the same hotel must contact kristina.vaiciukyniene@linesa.lt in advance. Payment for these extra nights will be required upon arrival at the hotel.
